Andar Automobile was once a brand produced by Anqing Andar Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd., a company established in 1991 and located in Wangjiang County, Anqing City, Anhui Province. The Andar brand mainly produced new energy buses, including coach buses, tourist buses, and public buses, with specifications ranging from 6 to 12 meters across four series, primarily zero-emission pure electric and hybrid vehicles. The predecessor of Anqing Andar Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd. was the Anqing Automobile Factory, which produced the first Andar sedan in 1991 and became the first local automobile brand in Anhui to enter the national automobile product catalog. The Andar Automobile brand produced various models from the early 1990s to the early 2000s, including the AAQ 1010D and AAQ 1010S pickup trucks based on the Xiali TJ 7100, and the AQ 1020S pickup based on the FAW Jiefang CA1020PLF. In 2003, the Anqing Automobile Factory officially declared bankruptcy due to a broken capital chain, and the Andar brand also ceased production. However, on April 26, 2015, Hebei Yue Di Group cooperated with Anqing's "Andar" to reactivate the project, and successfully rolled off the first 6.6-meter pure electric bus model AAQ6660EV under the "Andar" brand on March 14, 2016. Anqing Andar Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has a total investment of 1.2 billion yuan, covering an area of over 800 mu, targeting the Central China, East China, and South China markets, with an annual production capacity of 20,000 "Andar" brand light passenger vehicles, modified SUV models, new energy buses, and urban buses. On November 28, 2017, dozens of new energy pure electric buses were being installed and debugged in the production workshop of Anqing Andar Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and were expected to be delivered and put into use in mid-December. After bankruptcy, the Andar brand was reborn through cooperation with Yue Di Group and continues to develop in the field of new energy vehicles.
