Lanjian Automobile was once a part of the Yunnan Provincial Light Automobile Group Corporation, established in 1992 and located in Qujing City, Yunnan Province. The factory had once obtained a brief technical authorization from Japan's Isuzu to produce light commercial vehicles. Lanjian Automobile introduced and absorbed the technology of Isuzu's N series vehicles, developing several models including the Southwest Isuzu NKR55ELW double-cabin light passenger and cargo vehicle. Among them, the Southwest Isuzu NKR55ELW was the only model that Lanjian Automobile was allowed to use the Isuzu logo, while other products such as the Lanjian 1041 and Lanjian 6490 could only use their own Lanjian trademark. Due to operational issues, Yunnan Lanjian Automobile Factory was eventually acquired by FAW (First Automobile Works), becoming what is now known as FAW Hongta Yunnan Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and the Lanjian light trucks and Southwest Isuzu gradually disappeared from the domestic automobile market.
In addition, "Lanjian" also refers to brands or products in other fields. For example, Lanjian Aerospace Space Technology Co., Ltd. (Lanjian Aerospace) is a company focused on space transportation systems, committed to the research and development and operation of medium to large liquid oxygen-methane carrier rockets, providing space transportation services for the global market. There is also Lanjian Electronics, whose automotive-grade diode products have passed the AEC-Q third-party test certification. In the field of railway, the "Lanjian" high-speed electric multiple unit (EMU) is one of China's high-speed trains, capable of operating at speeds exceeding 200 km/h, mainly used for intercity high-speed passenger transport.
