Kaiyi Automobile is the automotive brand under Yibin Kaiyi Automobile Co., Ltd., which was established in 2014 with a registered capital of 4.727 billion yuan. In December 2017, after a change in the equity structure, Kaiyi Automobile relocated to Yibin and was renamed "Yibin Kaiyi Automobile Co., Ltd." Kaiyi Automobile is the first passenger car production enterprise in Sichuan Province that has the qualifications for both fuel vehicles and new energy vehicles, including sedans, SUVs, and MPVs.

In 2023, the company set a target of 60,000 vehicles for the whole year, striving for 80,000, but as of October of that year, the cumulative sales were only about 33,000, far from the target. Kaiyi Automobile is striving to achieve sales of 250,000 vehicles by 2025, with new energy vehicles accounting for more than 60%, and plans to accelerate the layout of overseas markets.
