On September 3, 2021, the summer testing of Hengchi 1, 3, 5, 6, and 7 concluded, fully verifying the vehicle's performance and quality under extreme high-temperature conditions. On January 12, 2022, the first Hengchi 5 vehicle came off the production line at the Tianjin factory, 12 days ahead of schedule. On July 6, Hengchi 5 started global pre-sales, priced at 179,000 yuan. As of the end of May 2023, more than 1,000 Hengchi 5 vehicles had been delivered.
