Southeast Motor, officially known as Southeast (Fujian) Motor Industry Co., Ltd., was established in 1995 and is a large-scale automobile manufacturing joint venture across the Taiwan Strait. The enterprise was jointly established by Fujian Provincial Automobile Industry Group and the China Motor Corporation, a subsidiary of Taiwan's Yulon Enterprise Group, with each party holding a 50% stake, a registered capital of 60.3 million US dollars, and a total investment of 99.82 million US dollars. Located in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, Southeast Motor has two major series of light commercial vehicle products, "Southeast Delica" and "Southeast Furia," as well as multiple models including sedans and SUVs. The company's first phase of construction, which has been completed and put into operation, covers an area of 704 acres with a construction area of 100,000 square meters, and has an annual production capacity of 60,000 units for two shifts. Southeast Motor City has a complete set of four major processes: stamping, welding, painting, and final assembly, making it a professional automobile production base with international advanced standards that has the capability for independent development from the front-end supporting parts to the rear-end whole vehicle assembly. While developing its own brand, Southeast Motor also strengthens cooperation with international automobile giants to promote technological innovation and enhance its independent research and development capabilities.
